Eliminate pain and stiffness, gain range of movement, strength and get back to the things you love doing!

As your range of movement improves you learn to properly activate the muscles to enable you to get strong and use your new range of motion in daily life.

The Science behind the program

As your range of movement improves you will learn to properly activate your muscles to get strong and use your new range of motion in daily life.

Stiffness sometimes called arthrofibrosis.

It is a result of an exaggerated inflammatory immune response to surgery – scar tissue continues to build – unless you perform daily high intensity stretching to break it down.

Home exercises are just 10% of the force of a physiotherapist’s treatment.

Patients can now benefit from high-intensity stretching daily at home using effective, natural, specific and targeted stretching techniques.

The daily treatment is the key to long lasting results.

You are in control of the intensity of your stretch and can see and feel the progress. You know its working!

Are there any clinical trials supporting the effectiveness of the STAK?

Yes, a clinical trial published in The Bone & Joint Journal showed that arthrofibrosis patients using the STAK experienced a significant average gain in range of movement, far surpassing the results of standard physio.

What do medical professionals say about the STAK?

The STAK has received praise from surgeons and physiotherapists. EG Professor Andrew Toms from the Exeter Knee Reconstruction Unit highlighted its ‘unique effectiveness in improving non-surgical approaches to treating knee stiffness’ (see testimonials on our website for more details).

What does STAK specialist support entail?

In your first session, we will discuss your goals and what activities you would like to return to. Your knee will be assessed, and your range of movement measured accurately using an App (you will be sent a copy of this if you wish). You will be taught how to complete the STAK programme and all elements will be completed by yourself. You will be shown how you can measure your progress. We will discuss several important elements of the programme and how to tailor it to your individual need. You will feel improvements in your knee after the first session. In your follow-up sessions, your progress will be monitored, range of motion recorded and any issues which may arise worked through together.

Can I use STAK with my insurance?

Most insurance companies will cover the physiotherapy sessions such as AXA Health, Vitality Health, Simply health, Benenden Health, Westfield Health. Please inform us if you plan to use insurance and we can assist. Some will include STAK hire but please reach out to your insurance company and check with them. If not please contact us and we may also be able to help get the insurance company on board.
